Burberry Makers House

This week I popped into the Burberry Makers House to visit the exhibition they had in collaboration with Henry Moore.

One of the first areas of the exhibition I saw was a segment called ‘The Cape Reimagined’. It featured some of the most beautiful and intricate designs I’ve ever seen. I particularly liked the capes that had 3D embellishments and were decked out with jewels or sequins, they’re the sort of clothing that would turn heads in the best possible way if people saw you wearing it down the street!

The exhibition also displayed Burberry’s February 2017 collection and there was a video on the wall showing certain items of clothing from the collection being made. It was fascinating to watch, as you can really see the level of craftsmanship in each design. On the mannequins, there were trend pieces from the new collection, incorporated with classic items such as the trench coat.

The final area I went to was called the Portrait Studio, here, members of the public were able to have their photo taken in the workshop space – it definitely seemed to be a hit with the public!

Taken by the photobooth at The Portrait Studio
I'd definitely recommend a visit if you’re around town, it’s opened until 27th February so there’s still time to see it.

Photos taken on iPhone SE unless stated otherwise.

Free entry, visit https://show.burberry.com/uk/feb-2017/makers-house/ for more info.
